My Crystal Journey.
Let’s see where did it all get started? Amethyst has always been my favorite crystal. I loved the color purple. In high
school I even enjoyed purple ice cream. I had a purple jumper that I loved to wear. My mom tells me that I had an
Amethyst cluster that I begged my dad to buy me.
As I grew older I had forgotten about the Amethyst cluster. Time went by, I got married, and life got busy. I was going to
turn 49 that year and fifty was around the corner. I started to wonder, what else is there in this life. My spiritual journey
was just about getting ready to take off. It was time to start the second half of my life. Time to start listening to my spirit
and me. But how was I going to do that. I started reading books that would help me understand what I was looking for.
It started with my dogs; I wanted to talk with them. I found an animal communicator and right away I arranged a reading
to be done on my dogs to better understand them. What were they thinking, what did they think of me? What were they
here to teach me? After the first reading I was hooked! It helped me better understand what they needed in their lifetime
to make them happy. After a while I wanted to talk with them, I wanted to communicate the same way with them. Back to
the book reading I went.
In 2006 I was to attend my first animal communicating class. I was excited. It started in the afternoon so I decided to take
a class in the morning. I looked at the schedule and saw one that caught my attention. How to develop your psychic
abilities, I thought that is for me. I did not know what to expect, as I had never taken a course like this before. The
teacher was funny; she had a funny friend, calling each other SISTER…I thought how cool is that, having a friend that
you felt comfortable enough around to call sister. The class was fun and I wanted to take more. As it turns out, the
teacher taught classes out of her home. She asked me if I would like to come to one. I said sure!
Now my journey begins with taking classes and learning about energy, about what my spirit needs. Before class she
would give out these beautiful colored rocks. I thought these are nice. What do they do? I put that aside and continued
taking classes with her. I started hearing about Reiki, learning that it is a healing energy that comes from the hands. You
could use it for anything, so right away I started thinking about my dogs. My Winnie girl was turning 10 years old and
she was starting to get arthritis in her body. I read about animal Reiki and decided this is what I want to do. Who could
attunement me to this? I decided to ask my teacher and low and behold, she was a Reiki Master Teacher. I thought how
perfect is this, not only is she my teacher and we get along great, now she will become my Reiki Master. I was excited
to take this next step in my journey. The crystals are coming; they are a big part of my journey.
In 2007 I was attuned to Reiki level 1 and 2. On 07-07-07 I decided to get our foster dog adopted on this day. I knew
someone at Petco that does the adoption so I was there with my foster dog looking for the right person that could give her
a loving home. We found her, she was looking for a dog just like this one, and so off they both went.
I went home that day knowing what I wanted to do. My business was born on this day. HHART, Healing Hands Animal
Reiki Therapy. I was on a quest to help as many animals as I could. I started doing animal events to promote my
business. I started thinking that I need something more in my booth than just pamphlets. In 2008 I started remembering
about the pretty colored rocks that my teacher would hand out in class.
I thought I could make bracelets from the pretty colored rocks. I did some shopping around and found some, put them
together and brought them to my booth. I found out that people really liked them and wanted to know, what do they do? I
thought I need to find out what do they do. I bought crystal books and started studying them. I loved to shop on eBay and
found out they have a crystal section. Wow I loved looking at them and reading about what they do. I started biding and
when they arrived in the mail, I had to decide which ones to keep and which ones to sell. I was loving what I was
learning. I started making crystal animal charms for the dogs and buying hand craved hearts. I discovered gem fairs in
my area and started buying them there. By December of 2008 I had added more bracelets, pendants, angel pins and
larger crystals along with the carved hearts.
I was having fun discovering the different properties that the crystals contained within them. All through 2009 my friends
would come and ask me, what crystals could help them with an issue they were having. I would do my research and
listen to my heart and intuition and find the right crystals that they needed to help them. I began making bracelets with
themes. I had one for Love, Peace and Happiness, one for Health Wealth and Harmony, one to aid them with sleeping. I
was enjoying the challenge of how I could help people with the crystals.
In 2010 I enjoyed doing my events, attending many classes taught by my teacher and mentor, and then I became a Reiki
Master. Mid year I started thinking more about the crystals and feeling that they were my path in this lifetime. I was still
reading the many crystal books that are out there for everyone to enjoy. I started to see something about a crystal
practitioner and wondered what that was. Thank goodness for the Internet I was able to do my research without leaving
home. I searched high and low and only found a couple of courses that could teach you how to become a certified
crystal practitioner.
I kept seeing a certain course in Sedona Arizona, but at the time I was looking for something local in California. I
searched my heart, worked with my mentor and asked my intuition for help on the right course for me. Sedona won and
in November of 2010 I became a Reiki Crystal Practitioner level 1. This has really changed my life, the power of the
crystals are so amazing. The earth has so much to offer us and it has been here all along. It is just up to us to decide what
we want to do with our lives. What are we suppose to do with our lives. The lessons we have to learn to make us better
people. I have found that it is finding the right people to be in your life that can help guide you. I say guide you, as they
cannot do it for you. They can only assist and be there with lots of love.
For 2011 I have become a Certified Reiki Crystal Practitioner level 2 in May and a Certified Reiki Crystal Master in
March 2012. I use the crystals everyday, I use them for gem water, and I wear them in bracelets, anklets, pendants and
carry them in my pockets. I always have something in my purse. I keep them in my truck and work with the many angels
that are associated with the crystals. I am always learning about them as there are so many out there.
I will begin to teach classes and begin to Certify others who are interested in learning more about the crystals. There are
so many things to learn about the world of crystals!
